Melodie Stacy is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a BA in Communications, Vocal Performance & Theater. She has trained with world renowned vocal instructor Ray Holcomb and Actors Theater Casting Director Zan Sawyer Dailey.  She has also received training from the Chicago Improv Troupe as well as the incredible collegiate staff of the University of Louisville.  Melodie has been teaching and coaching voice and drama for 13 years.  She has taught at numerous vocal and dance studios throughout the  Kentuckiana  area and directed at Kentucky Center  for the Arts with Louisville Repertory Theater Company.  Melodie has taken students to NYC and performed Off-Broadway, and placed students in top colleges throughout the U.S. including Pointe Park, Otterbein, Roosevelt, Stephens University and Northern Kentucky University just to name a few.  100% of Melodies graduating seniors have gone on to further and better their lives and careers past the high school level.  Melodie began the musical theater department 6 years ago and since then has directed students at the U of L Playhouse, Kentucky Center for the Arts, Spalding University, & on Theater Row in New York City.  Melodie opened Classic Melodies Black Box Theater in 2005 and since then has produced and directed dinner shows at the studios own theater.  She teaches students the value of the full theater experience and makes sure  that they are well prepared from the tiniest of performers to the most advanced to rise to their fullest potiential.  She has had performers win unlimited vocal titles, including having students in the second round of American Idol, Kentuckiana Idol finalists, and Coca Cola Talent Top 10.  She focuses on the student as a performer and as a person with all of the talents that God has given them personally and professionally.  She hires the best teachers with the highest credentials and is very selective in the teachers and people who are brought in to work with America's Future Leaders and Performers.  The school has a hiring policy second to none.  You will find no better or more highly Qualified instructors in this area because she will not sacrifice quality for quantity.

Donna Richards-(Dance Instructor-Choreographer)

Donna Richards, is a graduate of the Los Angles School of Performing Arts with a BFA in dance performance. While attending performing arts school, she performed in various productions for the Disney Corporation at Disneyland.  Upon graduation, Donna moved to New York where she lived for 12 years.  She has performed and traveled with various Broadway shows such as "Chicago, " "Cabaret," " Sweet Charity," "West Side Story," "A Chorus Line," " Dancin," "42nd Street," "Grease," "Oklahoma," "Showboat," and "Pippin," to name a few. She also performed with the Twyla Tharpe modern dance company.  While living in New York,  Donna taught for various dance studios in the area including the David Howard Studio, Steps, and the Broadway Dance Theater.

 After leaving New York Donna acquired her certification in the Royal Academy of Ballet and the Vaganova Ballet Techniques.  She also is a certified and pilates instructor.  She owned and operated a dance studio in Charleston, West Virginia until the summer of 1997.  While in Charleston, she established a troupe of dance performers ranging in age from 12 to 18.  They performed a diverse repertoire of classical, contemporary, and modern original works as well as works of the masters: Balanchine, Graham, DeMiles, Thapre.

Donna now lives in Brandenburg, Kentucky and is the dance instructor  and choreographer for the musical theater department of the Governor's School for the Arts. She has been a teacher and choreographer  for studios in the Hardin and Jefferson County area as well as musical theater workshops with Musical Theater of Louisville, Walden Theater,  and Louisville Youth Theater.  She choreographed Brigadoon and Hello Dolly for Musical Theater of Louisville in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Donna has also been an artist in residence in schools throughout Kentucky and has designed "The Artist; The Athlete"; a Kera based program in dance. She has also choreographed production numbers for various vocal music programs as well as musicals for area schools.

Donna has been involved in many facets of entertainment as a performer, a producer, choreographer, and costume designer.  She has studied with teachers from all over the world and performed throughout the United States.  Giving young artists a chance to create and follow their hearts through performance and dance, is a labor of love she feels compelled to do. 

   

Greg Heimann-(Private Instrument, Rock Band, Theory)

Greg Heimann received both his BME and MM from Eastern Kentucky University.  He has been a public school band director for the past 12 years.  He currently holds the position od Band Director at Valley Traditional High School and Robert Frost Middle School, both in Louisville, Ky.

Mr. Heimann's teaching experience also includes directing and instructing marching band, jazz band, drum line and percussion ensembles and teaching privately.  Mr. Heimann has also coached wrestling, chess, and academic teams and served as an academic tutor.  In addition to teaching and conducting, Mr. Heimann has been able to maintain an active and adjudicating career as well.

Mr. Heimann played keyboards with Teacher's Lounge, a local rock band. He was the principal trombonist for the Jewish Community Center Orchestra from 2000-2004.  While teaching in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky  he performed with the Big Sandy Big Band and began the Southeast Kentucky Jazz Quartet with three of his students.  Mr. Heimann has judged marching band competitions in the states of Kentucky, Ohio,  and West Virginia.  He has judged show chior competitions as well.

Mr. Heimann currently attends North Bullitt Christian Church where he serves as Deacon and plays electric bass with the worship band. He has been nominated several times for Who's Who Among America's Teachers.  He is also a member of Delta Omicron, an international co-ed music fraternity, of which he served as President.

Mr. Heimann came to Classic Melodies as a result of his daughter beginning voice/piano lessons.  A combined vision of expanding the instramental oppurtunities available to students and the studio brought him to Classic Melodies as an instructor in 2004
